Role Purpose:

The Head - Business Unit will provide strategic and operational leadership to scale the Invent're business. This role owns the overall performance of the BU, including growth strategy, P&L, supply chain, inventory, and end-to-end operations. The role demands a strong leader who can set direction, build scalable systems, and drive execution through teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Growth:

- Define and execute the long-term growth strategy for the Invent're BU aligned with organizational objectives.

- Own P&L performance, driving revenue growth, margin improvement, and capital efficiency.

- Identify and develop new products, services, partnerships, and revenue streams to support scale.

- Represent the BU at senior stakeholder, partner, and institutional forums.

Business Development & Partnerships:

- Lead institutional partnerships with K-12 schools and strategic vendors.

- Drive sustainable account growth through long-term contracts and value-based offerings.

- Oversee commercial strategy, pricing models, and negotiations.

Supply Chain, Inventory & Operations:

- Provide strategic oversight of sourcing, procurement, vendor management, logistics, warehousing, and fulfillment.

- Ensure robust demand planning, inventory optimization, and cost controls.

- Establish scalable operating models, SOPs, SLAs, and performance dashboards.

- Ensure consistent service quality, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction at scale.

Organization Building & Governance:

- Build and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams across business, operations, and supply chain.

- Set clear leadership cadence, KPIs, and accountability frameworks.

- Ensure governance, compliance, risk management, and management reporting standards.

Ideal Profile:

- Proven BU / senior leadership experience with end-to-end ownership of growth and operations.

- Strong background in Business Development, Supply Chain, and Inventory-led businesses.

- Demonstrated experience in scaling operations with P&L responsibility.

- Strategic thinker with strong execution discipline.

- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities.

Qualifications

- MBA or equivalent preferred.

- 12+ years of progressive leadership experience.

- Experience in education, retail, e-commerce, or platform-based businesses is a strong advantage.
