Role Overview:

- As the Head - SCM, you will be responsible for leading and managing the entire supply chain operations of CRI Pumps, based in Coimbatore. This encompasses demand planning, supply planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

- You will collaborate closely with various internal teams, including sales, marketing, production, and finance, to ensure seamless supply chain execution and optimize overall efficiency. Your leadership will be crucial in driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing best practices to enhance the company's competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with the company's overall business objectives.

- Lead the demand planning process, collaborating with sales and marketing to accurately forecast demand and ensure optimal inventory levels.

- Manage the supply planning process, coordinating with production and procurement to ensure timely availability of materials and components.

- Oversee the procurement function, negotiating contracts with suppliers and ensuring cost-effective sourcing of materials.

- Direct the logistics operations, optimizing transportation routes and warehousing strategies to minimize costs and improve delivery times.

- Manage inventory levels across the supply chain, implementing strategies to reduce obsolescence and improve inventory turnover.

- Implement and maintain SAP SCM modules to streamline supply chain processes and improve data visibility.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.

- Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, providing coaching, mentoring, and training to enhance their skills and capabilities.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including safety, environmental, and ethical guidelines.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in leading and managing end-to-end supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment.

- Proven ability to develop and implement effective supply chain strategies and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

- Strong understanding of demand planning, supply planning, procurement, logistics, and inventory management principles.

- Hands-on experience with SAP SCM modules and other supply chain management software.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.

- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA preferred.

- Minimum 15-25 years of experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
