Key Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap:
- Define and own the product roadmap for lending, insurance, and mutual fund journeys (web + app).
- Translate business goals (acquisition, approval rate, portfolio quality, cross-sell) into clear product initiatives.
- Prioritise features using data, effortimpact, and stakeholder inputs.
Digital Lending (LOS/LMS Journeys):
- Design and improve journeys for loan application, KYC, underwriting, e-mandate, disbursal and repayment.
- Work with credit/risk teams to implement policies, rule engines and bank statement analysis / bureau integrations.
- Coordinate with NBFC / bank partners for product specs, APIs, and compliance requirements.
- Insurance & Mutual Fund Journeys
- Build and optimise journeys for insurance (life/health/general) and mutual fund products from lead to policy/order completion.
- Work with IRDAI / SEBI / AMFI-compliant partners and platforms for product listing, quotes, journeys and post-sale flows.
- Enable cross-sell and upsell flows from lending customers to insurance/MF and vice versa.
- Requirement Gathering & Documentation
- Convert business problems into clear PRDs, user stories and acceptance criteria for the tech team.
- Maintain up-to-date process flows, API specs (in coordination with tech) and configuration documents.
Execution with Tech & Design:
- Work closely with engineering, QA and design to deliver features on time and with high quality.
- Conduct UAT, sanity checks and ensure smooth releases across web and app.
- Continuously refine UX to reduce drop-offs and improve conversions.
Data, Analytics & Optimization:
- Track key metrics: funnel drop-offs, approval rates, TAT, NPS, collection behaviour, cross-sell uptake, etc.
- Use data and customer feedback to identify issues and drive A/B tests and improvements.
Compliance, Risk & Operations Alignment:
- Ensure products are aligned with RBI, IRDAI, SEBI/AMFI guidelines and partner requirements.
- Work with operations, collections and customer support teams to build internal tools and dashboards for smooth servicing and tracking.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Liaise with external partners (NBFCs, insurers, brokers, MF platforms, KYC providers, bureaus, PGs) for integrations and enhancements.
- Run regular reviews with business, marketing and leadership on product performance and roadmap.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 3 - 6 years of experience as a Product Manager / Associate Product Manager in fintech / banking / insurance / investments.
- Strong understanding of at least one of the following (and willingness to learn the others):
- Digital lending (personal loans / consumer loans)
- Insurance distribution (web/app journeys, POSP/corporate agent model)
- Mutual fund distribution / investment products
- Experience working with tech teams, APIs, mobile/web products.
- Ability to write clear PRDs/user stories and work in agile/sprint-based environments.
