Experience:

1-5 years of experience in credit risk assessment of mid-corporate clients within the credit risk teams of Banks. Prepared Credit Assessment Memorandums (CAMs) & worked on Statutory Audit.

Role and Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Investment Identification:

Objective: Identify and target high-potential investment opportunities aligned with company's capital's strategic objectives.

Responsibilities: Identify high-potential investment opportunities and refine theses to maximize return potential.

Credit Appraisal incl. Financial & Legal Due Diligence:

Objective: Undertake a thorough Financial and Legal due diligence of Borrowers including writing of Credit Appraisal Memos and Investment Committee notes to be circulated to GPs & IC for every potential Investee Co with clear objective to understand the following aspects of Borrowers/ Investee Co under evaluation:

- Business model;

- Promoter/ Founder background;

- Financial Analysis;

- Industry Landscape;

- Competitor Analysis;

- Market Feedback from Peers, Industry, Other FIs;

- Cashflow Analysis based on Bank Statements & GSTRs in conjunction with Financial Analysis based on Audited/ Provisional Financial Statements provided for by Co;

- Identification of potential Business Risks, Regulatory Risk, Geographic Risks and potential mitigants;

- Mitigate risks and ensure informed investment decision

Responsibilities: Gather and analyse market data to provide actionable insights for the investment team

Portfolio Management:

- Transaction Documentation

- Post Disbursement Monitoring

- Supporting Portfolio Companies

Objective: Transaction Documentation including;

- Document Execution

- Compliance with Conditions Precedent & Conditions Subsequent

- Charge Filing and Security Creation & Perfection Post Disbursement Monitoring at Portfolio level and drilled down to Investee Co/ Borrower level; This includes:

- Monthly Sales & Collection data;

- Bank Statements analysis (Frequency - Weekly/ Monthly)

- GSTR Analysis (Monthly)

- Covenant Monitoring

- Any other key changes in business landscape at Macro or Micro Identifying synergies between Portfolio Cos (if any) and making relevant introductions through the life of relationship

Responsibilities: Assist portfolio entrepreneurs with introductions and address challenges.

Internal Fund Operations and Reporting:

Objective: Ensure operational efficiency and effective decision-making through accurate analysis and insightful reporting.

- Engaging in partner meetings

- Call reports and business correspondence

- Gathering financial data and business metrics from portfolio companies

- Processing this information to identify any companies encountering challenges

- Assessing the prospective deals brought forward by other colleagues

- Engaging in discussions regarding the firm's overall strategy.

Responsibilities: Support fund operations with data collection, reporting, and analysis.

Interpersonal Skills:

Objective: Promote a positive, collaborative work environment with effective communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities: Exhibit effective communication, teamwork, and conflict resolution skills.

Initiatives and Proactivity:

Objective: Demonstrate innovation and drive by initiating improvements and contributing to strategic projects.

Responsibilities: Take initiative to propose and implement improvements in processes and workflows.

Candidate Requirements:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory.

- 1-5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in statutory audit of small and mid-market corporates.

- Prepared Credit Assessment Memorandums (CAMs) & worked on Statutory Audit.

- Strong understanding of financial statements, working capital analysis, and business risk drivers.

- Experience reviewing audit qualifications, modified opinions, and financial red flags.

- Exposure to client-facing situations and familiarity with structured lending or investment analysis is a plus.

- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint; basic modelling skills preferred.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (i.e. verbal/ written) with the ability to present to the senior stakeholders.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-accountability investment environment.
