Job Description - Credit Risk Analyst

Domain: Banking & Financial Services (Credit Cards)

Role Overview:

- As a Credit Risk Analyst, you will support U.S. and global banking clients in developing data-driven strategies across the credit card lifecycle.


- You will use SQL and analytics to evaluate portfolio performance, identify risk trends, and recommend actions to improve credit outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Extract and analyze customer, bureau, and transaction data using SQL

- Build dashboards, reports, and insights for credit risk performance

- Support development of underwriting, line management, pricing, and collections strategies

- Track key metrics such as delinquency, roll rates, utilization, NCL, vintage performance

- Conduct ad-hoc deep dives to identify drivers of risk and profitability

- Collaborate with onsite stakeholders and internal teams to present findings

Must-Have Skills:

- Strong knowledge of SQL (joins, aggregation, case when, window functions preferred)

- Analytical mindset with basic understanding of statistics

- Proficiency in Excel / Power BI / Python (nice to have)

- Ability to interpret data and communicate insights clearly

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of credit card lifecycle and risk concepts

- Experience with SAS / Python / Tableau / Power BI

- Understanding of credit bureau data (CIBIL/Experian/Equifax)

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or similar

- Freshers with strong analytical foundation are welcome
