Credit Officer - Approvals - Corporate Credit - Bank - CA

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Credit Officer to join the Approvals Team of a leading MNC bank in Delhi. The role involves independently evaluating large corporate credit proposals, structured transactions and complex exposures while ensuring alignment with the banks risk appetite, internal policies and regulatory framework.

Key Responsibilities:

- Independently assess and evaluate credit proposals for large corporate clients.

- Analyse financial performance, industry risks, business models and transaction structures.

- Provide independent credit recommendations in line with the banks risk appetite.

- Evaluate structured credit, term lending and trade finance transactions and recommend appropriate risk mitigants.

- Monitor credit exposures and ensure adherence to approved limits and regulatory requirements.

- Work closely with business teams on complex credit proposals and provide credit advisory support.

- Drive implementation of credit policies, procedures and risk management frameworks.

- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

- Coordinate with auditors and regulatory authorities during credit reviews and audits.

Key Requirements:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) - Mandatory.

- 10-15 years of relevant experience in Large Corporate Credit / Credit Risk / Corporate Banking.

- Strong experience in credit appraisal and financial analysis of large corporates.

- Proven ability to independently evaluate complex credit proposals.

- Strong understanding of corporate credit risk management and regulatory frameworks.

- Exposure to structured finance and trade finance transactions.

- Strong analytical, decision-making and stakeholder management skills.

- Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Profile:

- CA qualified.

- Candidates with strong experience in Credit Approvals / Credit Risk - Large Corporates will be preferred.

- Experience with an MNC bank or leading financial institution will be an advantage.
