About the Role:

We are looking to hire a Credit Manager for the SME Credit team. The role involves leading credit evaluation, underwriting decisions, and portfolio monitoring for SME clients, while ensuring adherence to internal risk frameworks and regulatory guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and approve Credit Appraisal Notes (CRANs) for SME clients

- Conduct detailed credit risk assessment and take underwriting decisions within delegated authority

- Guide and mentor junior analysts on financial analysis and credit evaluation

- Coordinate with business teams to structure proposals in line with risk policies

- Monitor portfolio performance and identify early warning signals

- Ensure compliance with sanction terms, internal policies, and regulatory requirements

- Review monthly/quarterly portfolio monitoring reports and highlight key risks

- Handle escalations related to credit and risk assessments and provide resolution

- Conduct client visits and oversee preparation of inspection reports

Candidate Profile:

- 5-10 years of experience in Credit Underwriting (SME)

- Strong experience in credit appraisal, risk assessment, and portfolio monitoring

- CA / MBA (Finance) preferred

- Strong leadership and team management skills

- Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making abilities
