About the Role:

Our client, one of India's leading NBFCs, is looking for an experienced Credit Head Business Loans to lead and build the pan-India credit function for its Business Loans vertical. The role requires a seasoned credit professional with deep expertise in commercial/MSME lending, strong underwriting capabilities, and a proven track record of building scalable, technology-enabled credit processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the national credit appraisal function for the Business Loans portfolio.

- Drive credit underwriting, approval and portfolio quality for businesses with annual turnover up to 100-150 Crores and loan ticket sizes ranging from 1-15 Crores.

- Build and strengthen credit policies, underwriting frameworks and risk governance across secured and unsecured business lending.

- Drive automation and digitization of the credit evaluation process to improve efficiency, consistency and turnaround time.

- Partner closely with Business, Risk, Operations and Product teams to enable profitable growth while maintaining strong asset quality.

- Lead and develop a high-performing pan-India credit team, ensuring consistent credit standards across geographies.

Candidate Profile:

- 12-20 years of experience in Business/Commercial/MSME Lending with Banks or NBFCs.

- Minimum 5 years in a Credit Head (or equivalent national credit leadership) role.

- Strong credit appraisal experience across both secured and unsecured business lending.

- Experience handling high-volume credit operations across multiple geographies.

- Demonstrated success in designing scalable credit processes, policy formulation and credit automation.

Qualification:

- CA or equivalent professional qualification.
