JOB OVERVIEW:

The role is responsible for conducting concurrent reviews to assess adherence to standards in the credit decision-making process, including credit, technical, legal, and operational parameters. The position ensures comprehensive due diligence of loan application

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Conduct comprehensive file reviews to identify high, medium, and low-risk exposures

- Coordinate with various departments to validate data and processes across functions

- Perform detailed assessments of documents to highlight potential risk areas

- Understand and evaluate technical and legal reports to assess lending risk

- Provide feedback and insights that support learning and process improvement

- Identify patterns and trends that help in shaping risk mitigation strategies

- Support development and enhancement of monitoring tools and frameworks

- Ensure documentation and processes align with internal standards and regulatory expectations

- Distinguish between acceptable and avoidable risks in credit decisions

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

QUALIFICATION: Postgraduate degree in Finance, Risk Management, or related fields

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 2-5 years of experience in underwriting, credit risk, or audit functions. Exposure to technical and legal aspects of credit evaluation is advantageous.

JOB ROLE: Risk Monitoring

- Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint

- Excellent interpersonal and coordination skills

- Strong underwriting and credit audit expertise

- Good understanding of technical and legal aspects of lending

- Attention to detail
