Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit and Risk professional to join our client's team in Pune. This role involves managing the credit risk portfolio, developing and implementing credit policies, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.


The individual will work closely with various stakeholders, including sales, finance, and operations teams, to assess creditworthiness, mitigate risks, and optimize credit control processes. The role directly impacts the organization's financial stability and profitability by minimizing credit losses and ensuring sound lending practices.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to manage credit risk effectively.

- Conduct thorough credit analysis and risk assessments of potential and existing customers.

- Monitor credit exposures and identify potential risks, taking proactive measures to mitigate them.

- Manage the credit control process, including setting credit limits, monitoring payment performance, and pursuing collections.

- Prepare regular reports on credit risk exposures and performance for senior management.

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.

- Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations teams to optimize credit processes and support business growth.

- Continuously improve credit risk management practices through data analysis and industry benchmarking.

- Provide guidance and training to junior team members on credit risk management principles and techniques.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement credit policies and procedures.

- Proven expertise in conducting credit analysis and risk assessments.

- Strong understanding of credit control processes and collection strategies.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA /CA/CFA

- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

- 7-11 years of relevant experience in Credit Risk, Risk Management, or Credit Control.
