Credit Analyst - Fixed Income - Mutual Fund Industry

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position title: Credit Analyst, Fixed Income

Location: Mumbai

Key responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive credit evaluation of new and existing clients including but not limited to high yield credits

- Identify potential risks during trade structuring and provide solutions to mitigate them

- Provide support in end to end deal closure including finalization of the transaction structure, term sheet negotiation and legal documentation

- Monitoring existing portfolio investments

- Identify EWS and flag the same along with suggested measures for risk mitigation

- Identify credits with upgrade potential and suggest the same to the Fund Management Team

- Interact with the company management on a periodic basis

- Prepare internal/external notes/updates/presentations

- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to support business goals

Role Specific Competencies:

- Strong experience in evaluating various businesses, managements and transaction structures

- Ability to understand Corporate and NBFC business models, strong ability to analyse financial statements

- Detail oriented in approach to business and financial evaluation

- Keen interest in constant learning of various business models, industry dynamics and transaction structures

- Ability to handle complex transaction structures

- Ability to turnaround transactions under tight timelines

- Ability to bring new perspectives/knowledge base in discussions

Work Experience:

- Strong experience in structured/high yield transactions at Holding Company as well as Operating Company level

- Relevant credit experience of 5-7 years in NBFCs/Credit AIFs/Banking domain

Qualifications

- Post Graduate in Finance and / or CA

- CFA would be an added advantage
