Credit Analyst - Banking

Key Responsibilities:

- Independently conduct Credit Audits of borrower accounts in line with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) guidelines on the Loan Review Mechanism (LRM).

- Independently review credit risk across sourcing, appraisal, sanctioning, documentation, disbursement, and post-disbursement monitoring, while identifying gaps and recommending corrective actions.

- Participate in audits across various business segments, with a strong focus on account-level and process audits.

- Conduct independent 360-degree reviews of loan assets to assess asset quality, identify Early Warning Signals (EWS), and provide actionable recommendations through concise analytical reports.

- Continuously monitor assigned credit portfolios, analyze industry trends, and evaluate their impact on borrower performance and credit quality.

- Review end-to-end credit processes with a focus on completeness, adequacy, operational efficiency, and risk management.

- Ensure business processes are executed in accordance with approved process manuals, internal policies, and delegated authorities.

- Verify compliance with RBI regulations, internal credit policies, and the Bank's regulatory and supervisory framework.

- Recommend improvements to internal credit policies, process manuals, and risk management practices.

- Benchmark relevant credit review processes against industry best practices and peer banks.

- Develop audit checklists and test business products, processes, and procedures to identify potential risks, bottlenecks, and control gaps, ensuring timely resolution.

- Provide recommendations to enhance existing systems, controls, and operational processes.

- Collaborate with Business, Credit, Risk, and Operations teams to ensure timely closure of audit observations and preparation of periodic reports for senior management.
