- Summary of the position:  This position is responsible for   - In house advisory on India taxation matters to CA CIB India management   - Compliance for direct tax matters, indirect tax ( service and wealth tax)matters, corporate law compliance .   - Secretarial related work for the Company  - FATCA Co-ordinator  Organisation chart and line reporting   - Name of the Manager Appraiser Chief Financial Officer   - Internal functional links Support Functions  - External functional links External Consultant / Income Tax Department  - Number of people to manage None  Main duties:  - Advising to CA CIB group entities on Indian tax compliance  - Intimating with implications major development in Indian taxation impacting CA CIB India to management / business / operations   - Optimization of tax flows and management of tax risk for bank & group entity   - Ensuring statuary compliances of Direct and Indirect tax laws with the assistance of an external consultant  - Statutory regulatory filings   - Getting necessary certificates from CA / Regulators   - Representing the bank before various tax and appellate authorities   - Replying notices  - Appealing bank's claim at various levels whenever necessary   - Evaluation of new products, business agreements from taxation perspective.  - Preparing / reviewing submissions for regulators  - Liaises with regulators, various internal departments, external tax advisors   - Review of Functional Analysis & Supports for document maintenance for Transfer Pricing   - Managing Secretarial Compliance in accordance with corporate law   - Correct accounting of provisions and advance tax paid year wise, reflecting the latest position  - Maintain corporate tax files in an orderly manner  Specific features of the activity (place, travelling, constraints, etc.):  This position is based in the Credit Agricole CIB Mumbai office  Candidate's technical skills:  - Thorough knowledge of Direct tax, working knowledge of Indirect tax law and Corporate law applicable to bank   - Sufficient exposure to handling of tax queries.   Qualification: Chartered Accountants preferably having done CS as well.
