Role Overview:
1. Requirements & Solution Design:
- Lead requirement discovery sessions with logistics domain stakeholders
- Document clear and detailed business, functional, and non-functional requirements (BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria).
- Translate complex logistics workflows (routing, tracking, order fulfillment, inventory movement) into system models and user journeys.
- Develop as-is and to-be process maps using BPMN or similar standards.
2. Product & Project Collaboration:
- Collaborate with Product Managers to define product vision, roadmap, and solution scope.
- Work closely with engineering teams to clarify requirements and support solution design discussions.
- Liaise with QA teams to ensure test coverage aligns with business needs.
- Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, and UAT cycles in Agile environments.
3. Logistics Domain Expertise:
- Provide subject-matter expertise in logistics processes such as:
i. Transportation management (TMS)
ii. Warehouse management (WMS)
iii. Route optimization
iv. Order orchestration
v. Freight billing & reconciliation
vi. Real-time tracking/visibility
- Stay updated on logistics industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
4. Stakeholder Management & Communication:
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at operational and executive levels.
- Facilitate workshops, solution presentations, and requirements sign-off meetings.
- Manage expectations, communicate changes, and mitigate requirement-related risks.
- Serve as the primary contact between business teams and technical delivery teams.
5. Analysis & Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct impact assessments for enhancements, integrations, and system changes.
- Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities.
- Recommend solution optimizations and process improvements based on insights.
- Support change management activities and training for end users.
Job Requirements:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years in logistics or supply chain software.
- Strong understanding of Logistics applications like TMS/WMS, inventory management, or real time visibility.
- Demonstrated expertise in requirements elicitation, documentation, and process modeling.
- Proficient in tools such as Azure Devops, Jira, Confluence, Visio/Lucidchart, or equivalents.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with logistics software platforms, IoT tracking, or optimization engines.
- Familiarity with APIs, data flows, and system integration concepts.
- Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) for logistics data insights.
- Certifications: CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile BA, CSPO, or similar would be a plus
