About the role:
We are looking for a Business Manager to run this business end to end. You will own the P&L, set the growth agenda, and drive the shift to automation, while keeping the Coverfox brand and customer experience strong. This is a builder-operator role for someone from insurance who wants to run a digital business, not just a function.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the P&L: take end-to-end ownership of Coverfox.com revenue, cost, and margin; drive the business toward its revenue target.
- Run the business day to day: set priorities across acquisition, conversion, renewals, and service; make the trade-offs that move revenue and margin.
- Drive the shift to automation: lead the move from call-centre to SEO/SEM and chat/WhatsApp/voice bots; minimize manual intervention through automations.
- Growth & marketing: own the acquisition plan (SEO content engine, Ads), optimize CAC, and grow qualified lead volume and conversion.
- Renewals & retention: protect and grow the renewal book; run reactivation and renewal reminder campaigns.
- Product features: prioritize and launch customer features helping them buy and manage their insurance with product and engineering.
- Insurer coordination: coordinate with insurer and partner teams whenever required - on products, pricing, integrations, and issuance.
- Team & vendors: manage the operating team and external vendors/agencies; set targets and take control of the overall business.
- Reporting: run the business on data; report performance through CRM so leadership has a live view.
- Compliance: ensure the business operates within IRDAI guidelines.
What you bring (required):
- 5+ years of experience, with a background in insurance (broking, insurtech, or an insurer) - you understand motor, health, and/or life products and the policy lifecycle.
- Experience running a business line, category, or P&L - or a strong growth/operations role ready to step up to full ownership.
- Proven track record in a B2C digital environment: acquisition, conversion, and retention.
- Commercial fluency: comfortable with revenue, cost, margin, CAC, LTV, and unit economics.
- Strong analytical skills; able to make decisions from data and hold a team to targets.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and insurer partners.
- Strong ownership and bias for action; comfortable in a fast-moving, build-from-scratch environment.
Good to have:
- Experience with digital insurance distribution or online policy sales.
- Familiarity with SEO/SEM and performance-marketing levers.
- Exposure to conversational automation (chatbots, WhatsApp, voice) and their impact on cost-to-serve.
- Experience managing agencies or an insurer/partner network.
