Manager - Competitive Intelligence, Pharma Analytics & Insights

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Manager - Competitive Intelligence to lead pharmaceutical intelligence projects, deliver actionable market and competitor insights, and manage client engagements.

The role involves project execution, team leadership, analytical reporting, and supporting business development initiatives across pharmaceutical commercial and clinical development domains.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead multiple competitive intelligence projects, managing a team of 3 - 4 members and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery.

- Develop project plans, define milestones, monitor progress, and implement risk mitigation strategies.

- Conduct competitor monitoring, market assessments, situation analyses, and pharmaceutical strategy evaluations.

- Manage conference intelligence activities, including pre-conference planning, real-time coverage, and post-conference reporting.

- Analyze competitors' strategies and translate findings into actionable insights for client decision-making.

- Develop project methodologies, delivery frameworks, and process protocols to improve efficiency and quality.

- Present project findings and recommendations to clients through onsite meetings and virtual presentations.

- Coach, mentor, and support the professional development of team members.

- Manage team goals, performance evaluations, training, onboarding, and talent acquisition activities.

- Identify project or team-related risks and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve them.

- Support business development initiatives and client requirements.

- Travel as required, approximately 10 - 20%.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 8 - 11 years of experience in pharmaceutical competitive intelligence.

- Strong understanding of the global pharmaceutical industry, including commercial operations and clinical development.

- Expertise in one or two therapeutic areas; oncology experience is preferred.

- Experience managing projects, client relationships, teams, and competing priorities.

- Proficiency in pharmaceutical intelligence databases such as Citeline, Trialtrove, and Factiva.

- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and identify strategic insights.

- Excellent report writing, presentation, communication, and comprehension skills.

- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

- Strong attention to detail, quality control, organization, and time management.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate pharmaceutical insights in a clear, business-focused manner.
