InCommon is hiring on behalf of a US-based rental-platform startup that streamlines tenant screening and approval for property managers with tools like identity verification, income verification, fraud detection, and document analysis helping landlords make fair, fast, and reliable leasing decisions.

India Operations.
We are expanding to India as a hub for Underwriting, Pet Verification, Tagging, Support, and core functions like HR, payroll, contracts, and compliance.
The Head of India will be the senior leader responsible for setting up and scaling these operations.
The Role.
As Country Manager, you will:
- Establish the India entity: legal, HR, payroll, compliance, contracts.
- Secure office space and build/scale local teams.
- Align operations with U.S. and Philippines counterparts.
- Lead vendor partnerships (legal, payroll, real estate, staffing).
- Ensure cost-efficient, high-quality, and compliant operations.
- Act as cultural leader, fostering an engaged, inclusive workplace.
What Were Looking For.
- 10+ years in senior operations/leadership roles.
- Proven success scaling India ops for U.S./European companies.
- Strong background in financial services, underwriting, or regulated industries.
- Hands-on experience with HR, payroll, compliance, contracts.
- Strong communication and cultural fluency.
- Entrepreneurial, analytical, and process-driven mindset.
- Fluent in English (Hindi/regional languages a plus).
- Willingness to travel to the U.S. twice a year.
- Nice-to-haves: Startup/high-growth experience, prior success setting up new India entities, scaling global teams.
