A leading European multinational manufacturing company with a well-established presence in India is looking to appoint a Country Manager/ Leader - India to lead its next phase of growth. This is a high-impact leadership role with full responsibility for driving business growth, operational excellence, and long-term market expansion.

The Country Manager will have end-to-end responsibility for the India business, with full ownership of P&L, EBITDA performance, CapEx investments, and OpEx optimization. Reporting to the Regional Managing Director (Asia), this leader will drive commercial growth while ensuring world-class manufacturing and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Leadership:

- Own complete P&L responsibility for the India business.

- Develop and execute the India growth strategy aligned with global leadership.

- Drive sustainable revenue growth while strengthening long-term market positioning.

Operations & Manufacturing:

- Lead manufacturing, production, supply chain, quality, and maintenance functions.

- Ensure operational capacity supports commercial commitments.

- Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Commercial Growth:

- Strengthen relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.

- Expand market share through new business development and partnerships.

- Position the organization as a preferred partner in India's rapidly growing industrial ecosystem.

- Own and deliver the India business's EBITDA, revenue, profitability, and cash flow targets.

- Lead CapEx planning and execution to support business expansion and manufacturing capability.

- Drive OpEx optimization through Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence initiatives.

Leadership:

- Lead a cross-functional leadership team across finance, operations, HR, production, quality, and supply chain.

- Build a high-performance culture with strong accountability and talent development.

- Collaborate closely with regional and global leadership teams.

Governance:

- Ensure compliance with statutory, financial, and regulatory requirements.

- Manage business risks while protecting brand reputation.

Requirement:

- Proven experience as Managing Director, Business Head, Country Head, CEO, or equivalent with full P&L responsibility.

- 15 - 25 years of experience in industrial manufacturing with a Multinational company.

- Strong exposure to operations, commercial leadership, finance, and production.

Qualifications:

- Engineering degree (Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Electrical, or equivalent preferred).

- MBA or equivalent management qualification preferred.

- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
