Job Description - Country Head - India & Principal Officer - GIFT City

Location: Mumbai based candidates preferred

Role Overview:

Our Company is seeking an experienced financial services professional with a strong AMC background, expertise in investment products and the ability to independently drive business growth, distribution partnerships and fund raising. The role combines product strategy, investor relations and regulatory oversight, rather than being purely sales-oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive business development, revenue growth and fund raising across investment products.

- Build and strengthen distribution networks with banks, wealth managers, financial intermediaries, family offices and other strategic partners.

- Develop relationships with HNIs, UHNIs and institutional investors to generate business opportunities.

- Promote investment products across equities, bonds and alternative investments.

- Identify new markets, distribution channels and strategic partnerships to expand the firm's presence in India.

- Manage investor relationships and support end-to-end business development activities.

- Maintain working knowledge of Indian financial regulations, FEMA, LRS and ODI.

- Act as Principal Officer for GIFT City operations, subject to applicable regulatory requirements and approvals.

- Coordinate with regulatory authorities and internal teams on relevant compliance matters.

- The role requires extensive travel across India.

Experience and Qualifications:

- Educational Qualification: Professional qualification, postgraduate degree, or postgraduate diploma (minimum one year) in finance, law, accountancy, business management, commerce, economics, capital market, banking, insurance, or actuarial science from a recognised Indian or foreign university/institution; CFA; FRM from the Global Association of Risk Professionals; or any other relevant educational qualification.

- Strong experience in an Asset Management Company (AMC) or a comparable investment management institution.

- Experience in investment central distribution, investment solutions, products or product strategy.

- Established distribution network and exposure to fund raising and investor relations.

- Working knowledge of FEMA, LRS, ODI and Indian financial regulations.

- Familiarity with GIFT City and IFSCA regulations will be an advantage.

- Ability to work independently, take ownership and manage senior stakeholders.

- Strong academic background from a premier educational institution.

- Preferably 5 - 10 years of relevant experience.
