Cost Transformation Consultant - Pharma

About the role

We are looking for high-quality external consultants / experts for an upcoming pharma engagement. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in pharma operations and/or cost transformation initiatives, with exposure to driving operational efficiency and cost optimization in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.

Key responsibilities

- Support pharma cost transformation initiatives across manufacturing and supply chain

- Identify cost-saving opportunities across procurement, production, inventory, and operations

- Conduct operational diagnostics and benchmark plant performance

- Drive manufacturing productivity improvement initiatives (yield/OEE/capacity)

- Support supply chain optimization and planning

- Analyze cost structures and recommend improvement levers

- Work cross-functionally with plant, quality, procurement, and supply chain teams

- Build data-backed insights and executive-ready recommendations

Preferred experience

- 4-8 years in pharma / life sciences

Experience in:

a. Cost transformation

b. Manufacturing excellence

c. Plant operations

d. Supply chain optimization

e. Procurement/value engineering

f. Lean/Six Sigma

- Prior consulting experience preferred

- Strong Excel / analytics / problem-solving

- Experience working with plant leadership / operations teams
