Our client, a leading global consulting firm, is supporting a cost transformation program for a footwear manufacturing company. The project is focused on identifying and unlocking sustainable cost optimisation opportunities across the client's end-to-end manufacturing value chain.

The Cost Transformation consultant will play a key role in assessing manufacturing and operational performance, identifying value creation opportunities, and bringing industry-tested cost improvement ideas that can be evaluated and implemented within the client's business. While experience in the footwear industry is highly preferred, consultants with a strong track record of delivering cost transformation programs within consumer businesses will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

- Identify and evaluate cost optimisation opportunities across end-to-end manufacturing operations, procurement & supply chain, quality, and other operational functions.

- Assess current manufacturing processes and recommend practical, high-impact initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

- Leverage prior experience from cost transformation and value creation programs to introduce industry best practices tailored to the client's operating environment.

- Collaborate closely with client stakeholders to validate opportunities, develop implementation recommendations, and support decision-making.

- Provide strategic and operational insights to help drive measurable improvements across the manufacturing value chain.

Your Background:

- 15+ years of professional experience in manufacturing, operations, supply chain, or cost transformation.

- Demonstrated experience leading cost improvement, operational excellence, or value creation programs within consumer businesses.

- Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, procurement, supply chain, quality, and production processes.

- Experience within the footwear industry is a strong advantage; however, candidates with relevant consumer manufacturing experience and a proven cost transformation track record are encouraged to apply.

- Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate operational insights into actionable recommendations.

- Bachelor's degree required; an MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred.

Other Info:

This is a full-time, contractual engagement based onsite in Delhi, with an expected start in the first week of August. The contract duration is of 12 months, which can be extended based on project requirements and performance.
