A leading consulting firm is seeking an experienced consultant to support a cost transformation programme for a consumer goods company in the dairy sector. The 6 month engagement aims to enhance margins through cost reduction initiatives, particularly across operations, procurement, supply chain and manufacturing.

The consultant will play a key role in driving day-to-day project execution, guiding a team of 3 - 4 consultants and ensuring high-quality deliverables. The role will involve close collaboration with senior project leadership and regular client interactions to translate strategic guidance into actionable workstreams, resolve queries and maintain project progress.

Key Responsibilities:

- Guide a team of 3 - 4 consultants, providing direction and reviewing their work to ensure high-quality outputs.

- Translate guidance from senior project leadership into actionable work items and priorities for the project team.

- Drive cost transformation and margin enhancement initiatives, particularly across procurement, supply chain, manufacturing and other operational areas.

- Engage with client stakeholders regularly to understand requirements, address queries and maintain alignment on project priorities.

- Track project progress and share regular updates with senior leadership and client stakeholders.

- Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and support the development of actionable recommendations.

Your Background:

- 6 - 8 years of consulting experience with MBB or equivalent consulting firms.

- Prior experience delivering cost reduction or cost transformation projects, particularly across procurement, supply chain, manufacturing or other operations-related topics.

- Experience in the dairy sector or broader consumer goods industry is preferred but not mandatory.

- Strong project management and team leadership skills, including experience guiding junior consultants and reviewing deliverables.

- Ability to engage effectively with client stakeholders, communicate progress and translate senior-level guidance into actionable workstreams.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality outputs.
