About the Role :

We are hiring a Cost Optimization Consultant to work on high-impact engagements within the automotive sector. The role requires professionals who have hands-on experience in driving cost reduction and efficiency initiatives across manufacturing and supply chain functions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead and execute cost optimization initiatives across manufacturing, procurement, and operations

- Identify cost-saving opportunities through value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE)

- Analyze cost structures, BOM, and supplier pricing to recommend improvements

- Drive productivity improvement and operational efficiency programs

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, sourcing, and engineering

- Support implementation of cost reduction strategies and track impact

- Build and present insights, reports, and recommendations to stakeholders

Key Requirements :

- 5-12 years of experience in the automotive sector (OEMs / Tier-1 / Tier-2 suppliers preferred)

- Proven experience in cost optimization, cost reduction, or operational excellence initiatives

- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain, and sourcing

- Experience in VA/VE, should-costing, or cost benchmarking is highly preferred

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills

Preferred Background :

- Experience working with or for management consulting firms is a plus

- Exposure to large-scale transformation or efficiency improvement projects

Engagement Details :

- Contract duration: 12 months

- Location: Pune/Mumbai (onsite/hybrid as per project requirement)

- Immediate to short joiners preferred
