Cost Controller - D2C Consumer

About the Role:

We are currently hiring for a fast-growing D2C consumer brand that is scaling rapidly across marketplaces, quick commerce, D2C, and offline retail channels. The company operates in a high-growth environment with a strong focus on profitability, operational excellence, and financial discipline.

The brand is looking to hire a Cost Controller to own cost governance, budgeting, procure-to-pay processes, and financial controls across product costs, marketing spend, vendor payments, and operating expenses.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable driving cost efficiencies while ensuring strong financial controls in a fast-paced consumer business.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage cost tracking and controls across COGS, marketing, logistics, professional fees, and operating expenses

- Own product costing, gross margin analysis, and variance reporting across SKUs and channels

- Monitor marketing, agency, software, and operational spend while ensuring budget adherence

- Drive end-to-end procure-to-pay processes including vendor onboarding, invoice validation, approvals, and payment controls

- Build and manage budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to identify cost optimization opportunities

- Oversee inventory valuation, provisioning, cost reporting, and financial control processes

Requirements:

- CA with 2 - 4 years of experience or non-CA with 4 - 7 years of relevant cost finance experience

- Strong experience in cost control, budgeting, financial planning, or commercial finance roles

- Hands-on exposure to product costing, gross margin analysis, inventory controls, and procurement processes

- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency and experience working with ERP systems

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high ownership and strong stakeholder management skills
