Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Reporting & Analysis: Prepare detailed and accurate Cost Reports for all business and
functional verticals across the organization.
- P&L Management & Investigation: Conduct monthly tracking of P&L expenses. This includes deep-dive investigation of material breaks, performing root cause analysis, and collaborating
with various departments to understand and fix gaps affecting cost figures.
- Variance Analysis & Forecasting: Expertly perform comprehensive variance analysis and provide clear, articulate explanations against budget figures, forecasts, and prior reporting periods.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the preparation and maintenance of yearly detailed budgets and mid-year forecasts under different business scenarios, diligently comparing planned figures with actual performance.
- Cost Optimization: Proactively identify and recommend Cost Optimization opportunities by conducting detailed analysis of specific expense and cost line items.
- Management Reporting: Prepare and maintain comprehensive Cost Dashboards for review by senior management, translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct various ad-hoc analyses and efficiently address emerging issues or challenges encountered during the regular reporting process.
- Liaison: Act as a key liaison with different functional and business departments to gain a thorough understanding of all aspects affecting operational costs.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven professional experience (typically 3-6 years) in a finance or accounting role,
with a strong focus on cost analysis and management reporting.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in financial reporting, P&L analysis, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
Software Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data modeling and analysis. Experience with large-scale ERP systems or financial reporting tools is highly desirable.
Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to perform detailed variance analysis, identify root causes of discrepancies, and propose actionable solutions.
Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills for effectively liaising with multiple departments and strong communication skills for presenting complex data to management.
Preferred Skills: Experience working within the NBFC, Banking, or Financial Services sector.
