A Cost Accountant for a textile manufacturing company is responsible for accurately tracking and analysing costs associated with materials, labour, and overhead within the textile manufacturing process. They also analyse variances between actual and standard costs, prepare cost reports, and contribute to pricing decisions.
- Costing for all textile products including T-Shirts, Bed Sheets, Fabrics, Uniforms
- Costing for various process of textile i.e. spinning costing, weaving cost, processing cost etc.
- Establishing the standard costs of services or products
- Updating the standard costs of products and services based on the associated expenses
- Analyze changes in materials, labor, and manufacturing methods to determine their impact on overall costs including costing for depreciation, overhead, utilities etc.
- Prepare and analyze cost reports, including gross margin analysis, to identify areas for cost reduction and improvement, profitability of product costing
- Preparing monthly or quarterly reports for senior management based on inventory reserve analyses
- Review and analyze standard and actual costs for variances and prepare reports
- Update standard costs and ensure accuracy in the Bill of Materials (BOM's) in SAP
- Prepare, analyze and report monthly gross margin analysis by customer, part number and production jobs
- Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services to determine effects on costs
- Study and collect data to determine costs of business activities such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor
- Variance analysis i.e. Budget vs actual
- Responsible for all aspects of Manufacturing and Production costing analysis and inventory for all business locations.
Experience:
- Experience in cost accounting, preferably within the textile manufacturing industry.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SAP - FICO Module is must with and data analytics tools like Excel.
Analytical Skills:
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and draw conclusions.
Communication Skills:
- English fluency is must with Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
Qualification: ICWA, MBA
