Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Cost Accountant with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our team in New Delhi.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for a wide range of financial and accounting tasks, including cost analysis, inventory management, and budget control.
This role is crucial for ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing key insights that will help drive strategic decisions and improve overall profitability.
You will work closely with multiple departments to identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain compliance with financial regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, focusing on costs and profitability,
and ensure accurate financial statements by collaborating with the finance team.
- Analyze production costs and variances to identify areas for improvement and prepare detailed cost reports and forecasts for strategic planning.
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring they align with organizational goals, and provide variance analysis to monitor performance.
- Track and analyze inventory costs for raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, and implement control measures to minimize waste.
- Collaborate with departments such as production, procurement, and sales to gather essential data and provide training on cost management practices.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, and assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
- Identify and recommend cost-saving initiatives and process improvements, and conduct cost-
benefit analyses for new projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in a cost accounting or similar role.
- Strong skills in Cost Accounting, Financial Analysis, and Budget Management.
- Proven ability to track Inventory Control and perform Variance Analysis.
- Experience with financial reporting and forecasting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with cross-functional teams
