Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Finance & Strategic Planning:
- Support the leadership team in driving key corporate finance initiatives and strategic projects.
- Develop long-term business plans, annual operating plans, and growth strategies.
- Conduct financial feasibility studies and business case evaluations for new initiatives.
- Analyze business performance and recommend actions to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Partner with business leaders to evaluate strategic opportunities and investment decisions.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic alliance evaluations when required.
Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Build and maintain comprehensive financial models to support forecasting and strategic planning.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts.
- Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor business KPIs and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Support scenario planning, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessment exercises.
- Develop management dashboards and performance reports.
Investor Relations & Fundraising:
- Manage investor communication and engagement activities.
- Prepare investor presentations, board decks, fundraising materials, and business updates.
- Support equity and debt fundraising initiatives from preparation through execution.
- Coordinate due diligence processes with investors, lenders, and advisors.
- Maintain data rooms and ensure readiness of financial and operational information.
- Track fundraising progress and manage stakeholder communications throughout the transaction lifecycle.
Management Information Systems (MIS) & Reporting:
- Own end-to-end MIS reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop meaningful reports and dashboards to support executive decision-making.
- Analyze financial and operational performance metrics.
- Present business insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of management reports.
Business Research & Market Intelligence:
- Conduct market research, industry analysis, and competitive benchmarking.
- Monitor emerging market trends, industry developments, and investment opportunities.
- Analyze competitor strategies, financial performance, and business models.
- Prepare research reports and strategic recommendations for management review.
- Evaluate growth opportunities across existing and new markets.
Legal, Secretarial & Compliance Support:
- Coordinate with legal, compliance, and secretarial teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Support board meetings, shareholder communications, and corporate governance activities.
- Ensure timely filing of statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in maintaining compliance frameworks and internal controls.
- Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and legal advisors as required.
Cross-Functional Strategic Projects:
- Lead high-impact projects involving finance, operations, product, strategy, and business teams.
- Drive project execution, stakeholder alignment, and timely delivery.
- Support implementation of process improvement initiatives and automation projects.
- Participate in organizational transformation and growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with leadership teams to solve complex business challenges.
Stakeholder Management:
- Work closely with founders, investors, board members, lenders, and external advisors.
- Act as a finance business partner across multiple functions.
- Present financial analysis and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Desired Candidate Profile:
Educational Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) and/or MBA (Finance).
- MBA from premier institutes such as IIM, FMS, MDI, IMT, XLRI, SPJIMR, ISB, or equivalent preferred.
Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Management Consulting, FP&A, or Startup Finance.
- Prior experience working in startups, venture-backed organizations, investment firms, or high-growth businesses preferred.
- Experience supporting fundraising, investor relations, and strategic finance initiatives is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Strong financial modeling and valuation expertise.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience preparing investor decks, board presentations, and fundraising materials.
- Strong understanding of financial statements and business performance metrics.
- Knowledge of corporate finance principles, capital raising, and investment evaluation.
- Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence tools is an advantage.
