Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Corporate Controller to lead and oversee corporate finance, accounting, financial reporting, taxation, compliance, and financial analysis for a leading hospitality group. The position will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial closure and reporting, strong financial controls, statutory compliance, and effective financial analysis across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing and reporting activities.

- Manage corporate-level financial reporting and consolidation in accordance with Ind AS and applicable regulatory requirements.

- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, MIS, management reports, and statutory reports.

- Manage and strengthen accounting processes and financial controls using SAP ERP.

- Ensure compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, SEBI requirements, and other applicable financial reporting regulations.

- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, and other external stakeholders.

- Oversee direct and indirect taxation, including GST compliance, tax assessments, reconciliations, and tax planning.

- Review GST returns, reconciliations, tax provisions, and ensure timely statutory compliance.

- Support tax planning and optimisation while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

- Prepare and review financial analysis, variance analysis, business performance reports, and management dashboards.

- Evaluate financial performance of hotel properties, business units, and corporate functions, identifying key trends, risks, and opportunities.

- Analyse hotel-level financial performance including revenue, departmental profitability, operating costs, GOP/EBITDA, margins, and key financial metrics.

- Partner with hotel operations and corporate leadership to evaluate business performance and improve financial outcomes.

- Establish and monitor robust internal financial controls, processes, and accounting policies.

- Drive standardisation and improvement of finance and accounting processes across the hotel portfolio.

- Support budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and financial modelling.

- Provide management with meaningful financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to support business decisions.

- Ensure timely closure of audit observations and implementation of internal control improvements.

- Monitor working capital, cash flows, receivables, payables, and other key financial indicators.

- Support corporate finance initiatives, business evaluations, and financial due diligence as required.

Candidate Profile:

- CA qualification is mandatory.

- Minimum 7 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Finance & Accounts.

- Strong experience in a corporate office environment, preferably within the hospitality / hotel industry.

- Experience working with a listed company is highly preferred.

- Strong hands-on experience in SAP and financial accounting systems.

- Strong knowledge of Ind AS, financial closing, consolidation, and corporate reporting.

- Strong exposure to GST, taxation, tax planning, and statutory compliance.

- Experience in financial analysis, business evaluation, budgeting, forecasting, and MIS.

- Exposure to financial reporting and compliance requirements of listed organisations.

- Hospitality / hotel industry experience with an understanding of hotel financials and operating metrics will be strongly preferred.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Ability to work closely with senior management, hotel leadership, auditors, tax advisors, and cross-functional teams.
