Contract Manufacturing & Sourcing Manager - FMCG

Role: Contract Manufacturing & Sourcing Manager

Location: Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR)

Reporting to: Founder

I. Core Strategic Pillars:

- Manufacturing Expansion: Identifying and onboarding Third-Party Manufacturers (TPM) to scale the brand's production footprint.

- End-to-End Procurement: Owning the raw material strategy, from vendor selection and contract negotiation to cost optimization (TCO).

- Operational Excellence: Bridging the gap between sales forecasts and factory execution, ensuring zero supply disruptions.

- Governance & Compliance: Driving sustainability (EcoVadis), EHS, and Food Safety standards across the subcontracting network.

II. Skill Highlights

Technical & Functional Skills

- Strategic Sourcing & Tolling: Deep understanding of tolling cost drivers, market trends, and win-win contract negotiations.

- Category Management: Expertise in raw material categories, supplier consolidation, and productivity programs.

- Supply Chain Planning: Ability to convert sales plans into production schedules and build inventory safety nets.

- Risk Mitigation: Identifying supply bottlenecks and developing alternate sourcing strategies.

- Financial Acumen: Proficient in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis and tracking financial savings repositories.

Soft Skills & Leadership

- Founder-Reporting Agility: Capability to handle day-to-day execution with high accountability.

- Problem Solving: A practical, hands-on approach to resolving factory-level operational issues.

- Stakeholder Management: Coordinating between Leadership, Distribution, and Supplier Quality teams.

- Organizational Prowess: Managing multiple manufacturing units, special projects (launches/photoshoots), and audits simultaneously.

III. Key Requirements (The "Must-Haves")

- Education: MBA from a reputed institute (Focus on SCM or Food Business).

- Experience: 7+ years specifically in the Food Industry (FMCG).

- Domain: Proven track record in External Manufacturing / Tolling operations.

- Location: Immediate proximity or willingness to work within the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
