Role Overview:
The Chief Executive Officer (India) will be responsible for establishing, scaling and leading the company's India operations as a wholly owned subsidiary of a German automotive company.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the company's India market entry and expansion strategy.
- Build a long-term growth roadmap aligned with global corporate objectives.
- Build, inspire and lead a high-performing leadership team across functions.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, customer obsession and execution excellence.
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Establish and scale dealership and distribution networks across key metro and luxury-focused markets.
- Drive sales performance, profitability and market share growth.
- Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, pricing dynamics and customer preferences in the luxury automotive space.
Brand Building & Market Positioning
- Position the company as a distinctive premium/luxury automotive brand in India.
- Lead high-impact marketing, experiential branding and customer engagement initiatives.
- Build and nurture relationships with UHNIs, collectors, luxury buyers and automotive enthusiasts.
Operational Excellence & Market Setup
- Lead legal incorporation, registration and statutory compliance for the Indian subsidiary (Private Limited), in coordination with global HQ legal and compliance teams.
- Set up and optimize organizational structure, governance and operating processes.
- Ensure seamless coordination across sales, marketing, after-sales, finance, HR and compliance.
Financial Management & Fundraising
- Own P&L responsibility for India operations.
- Drive budgeting, forecasting and financial planning aligned with growth objectives.
- Build investor pitch decks, lead investor roadshows and close funding rounds (equity, strategic or structured finance) as required.
- Ensure strong capital efficiency, ROI discipline and financial governance.
Government Relations & Regulatory Strategy
- Secure or pre-qualify for relevant Government of India schemes and incentives, including:
- PLI - Automobile & Advanced Automotive Technology
- SPMEPCI (Electric Passenger Cars Manufacturing Scheme)
- FAME / PM-E-DRIVE
- Applicable state-level EV and manufacturing incentives
- Lead engagement with central and state government authorities, industry bodies and regulatory institutions.
