Purpose - Why does this role exist?:

SAP Solution Functional Consultants participate and work on delivery and capability excellence through the design, development and/or delivery of a solution, service, capability or offering. They grow into delivery-focused roles. Such Functional consultants provide day to day business support as well as engage in large projects identified in their respective business domain. They analyze, design and/or develop best practice business changes through technology solutions which they drive along with other consultants.

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators):

A professional at this position level has the following responsibilities:

- Identifies, assesses and solves day to day operational issues in their domain within the SAP framework.

- Works on complex business problems for area of responsibility, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

- Closely follows the strategic direction set by functional Leader when establishing near term goals.

- Interacts with users on matters where they may need to gain acceptance on an alternate approach.

- Acts along with the functional leader to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.

- Works with large to medium sized teams and/or works with teams working along with him.

Specific Task Expectations:

- Spearheads automation requirements in SAP and other technologies across Accounts Payables (AP), Accounts Receivables (AR), General Ledger (GL), Human Resources (HR), Commercial functions.

- Facilitate the implementation and support of SAP Modules (For example for FICO Consultant - focus on FICO Controlling - Cost Center Accounting, Profit Center Accounting, Product Costing, Profitability Analysis, Project System, Results Analysis, Month End Close, Overhead assessment and settlement).

- Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and provide appropriate system solutions; identify, interpret, validate and document customer requirements.

- Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements.

- Map client business requirements, processes and objectives; develops necessary product modifications to satisfy clients' needs.

- Must have strong experience in developing interfacing applications like Bank reconciliation, Filenet DMS, Pilog MDM Governance tool, Vendor Portal (globalpayex), OneSource GST etc. Knowledge of GST processes and integration knowledge with FICO is desirable.

- Design and testing of SAP modules.

- Identify gaps, issues and work around solutions.

- Act as liaison with client for troubleshooting: investigate, analyze, and solve software problems.

- Document functional designs, test cases and results.

- Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements.

- Provide consulting services on both new implementations and existing support projects.

- Act as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team.

- Provide ad-hoc training and user support as required.

- Work self-directed and independently; may act as subject matter mentor to more junior members.

- Solve day to day operational issues and business challenges in your specific domain.

- Work along with the functional Leader for Project Charter, project plan, project schedule, RACI matrix and ensure your contributions to the project delivery with the targeted time frame.

- Review fitment analysis to standard processes, verify process design and related custom developments; identify risks and mitigation plan.

- Work on complex projects with the Leader - SAP functional and provide technical solutions for the same.

Work Experience:

Minimum 8 - 10 year experience in a corporate delivering domain specific solutions. Experience on modern solutions must. Expertise in the relevant domain in SAP mandatory. Working with new cloud based SAP/S4 HANA solutions preferred.
