ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As SAP FICO Consultant, you will be responsible for integrating financial processes with SAP technology to ensure accuracy, transparency, and control across all business functions. You will configure and maintain SAP FICO modules to support real-time reporting, effective cost management, and compliance with financial regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Solution Design & Implementation:

- Participate in day-to-day SAP S/4HANA support for the finance function including solutioning, configuration, testing, and deployment

- Design and implement SAP FICO solutions aligned with business requirements and manufacturing best practices

- Conduct business process analysis and gather requirements from finance and controlling stakeholders

System Configuration & Customisation:

- Configure SAP FI modules: General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), New GL

- Configure SAP CO modules: Cost Centre Accounting (CCA), Internal Orders (IO), Product Costing, Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), Profit Centre Accounting (PCA)

- Develop and maintain documentation for all configurations, customisations, and processes

Support & Optimisation:

- Provide expert functional support, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions for existing SAP FICO functionalities

- Identify opportunities for process improvement and system enhancements

- Collaborate with other SAP modules - MM, SD, and PP - for integrated solutions

Testing & Training:

- Develop and execute unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT)

- Provide training and support to end-users for effective utilisation of SAP FICO functionalities

Reporting & Analytics:

- Assist in developing financial and controlling reports using standard SAP tools and custom developments

- Ensure data accuracy and consistency within SAP FICO modules

Project Management & Collaboration:

- Work with IT colleagues, business users, finance, procurement, audit, and plant operations teams

- Participate in FICO project planning and status reviews

- Adhere to IT governance and change management processes

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Education:

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, or a related field

Experience:

- 8-12 years of hands-on SAP FICO experience (minimum 5 years mandatory)

- Mandatory: Experience must be from the manufacturing industry (FMCG, auto, pharma, industrial, packaging, or similar sectors)

- Minimum 2 end-to-end SAP FICO implementation cycles in a manufacturing organisation

- Extensive experience configuring and supporting SAP FI modules: GL, AP, AR, AA, New GL

- Extensive experience configuring and supporting SAP CO modules: CCA, IO, PCA, CO-PA, Product Costing

Note: Candidates from services, retail, BFSI, or IT consulting backgrounds without manufacturing project experience will not be considered.

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS:

- SAP FI & CO module expertise - in-depth knowledge of Financial Accounting and Controlling

- Proficient in SAP S/4HANA configuration and customisation

- Strong understanding of manufacturing financial workflows, taxation, and statutory compliance

- Integration knowledge - FICO with MM, SD, and PP modules

- Data migration using LSMW / BAPI

- Financial reporting using SAP Reports and SAP Query

- Experience preparing functional specs, test scripts, and conducting UAT

- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
