Consultant - Oil & Gas/Renewables - Consulting Firm - Contractual - IIM/ISB/FMS/MDI/XLRI

Our client, a global consulting firm partnering with a major oil and gas company to deliver high-value strategic and operational advisory services in the energy sector.

This assignment sits within a critical client engagement focused on strengthening capabilities in hydrocarbons and energy operations. As the embedded Oil and Gas Consultant, you will bring deep domain expertise to help the oil and gas major tackle complex challenges, drive performance improvements, and unlock sustainable value in a rapidly evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver specialized consulting support on hydrocarbons and energy-related projects, working directly with the major oil and gas client's leadership and operational teams

- Conduct detailed analyses, market assessments, and feasibility studies to shape strategic recommendations and influence key business decisions

- Collaborate with the global consulting firm's project teams to design and implement solutions that enhance efficiency, compliance, and competitiveness

- Prepare high-impact reports, presentations, and workshops for senior stakeholders to drive alignment and adoption of proposed initiatives

- Monitor industry trends, regulatory developments, and emerging technologies to provide forward-looking insights and risk mitigation strategies

- Support end-to-end project delivery, ensuring timely and high-quality outcomes that meet both client expectations and consulting firm standards

Your Background

- Minimum 3 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years specifically in Hydrocarbons or the broader energy sector

- Strong oil and gas/renewable domain knowledge with proven ability to apply it in consulting or advisory contexts

- Education: Tier-1 MBA from a leading business school combined with B.Tech/B.Eng or CA qualification

- Demonstrated analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills suitable for high-stakes client environments
