Consultant - HRMS Payroll Tech

- Partner with HR and Payroll teams to analyze business requirements and configure HRMS systems to support payroll operations.

- Lead or participate in the end-to-end implementation of HRMS modules, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, and post-go-live support.

- Customize payroll rules, earning and deduction elements, tax setups, and leave accrual logic as per organizational policies and statutory norms.

- Develop and maintain integrations between HRMS and other systems such as time & attendance, accounting, and third-party vendors.

- Support monthly payroll processing, validation, reconciliation, and statutory reporting (PF, ESI, PT, TDS, etc.).

- Troubleshoot system issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with vendors for resolution.

- Conduct system upgrades, testing, and validation to ensure data integrity and process continuity.

- Prepare functional and technical documentation, including configuration workbooks, user manuals, and change logs.

- Train HR and Payroll users on new features, workflows, and best practices.

- Continuously identify opportunities for process automation, performance optimization, and enhanced user experience.

Required Skills and Competencies:

- Strong hands-on experience with one or more HRMS platforms (SAP HCM/SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM Cloud, Workday, PeopleSoft, Ramco, or equivalent).

- Solid understanding of end-to-end payroll processes including salary structure, taxation, statutory compliance, and reconciliation.

- Proficiency in HR data management, reporting, and analytics tools.

- Experience in writing functional specifications, conducting UAT, and managing integrations through APIs or middleware.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Strong understanding of HR domain processes-core HR, time management, and benefits administration.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

- Knowledge of Indian payroll legislation and statutory compliance is highly desirable.
