
Our client, a leading global consulting firm, is seeking an experienced professional to support a large-scale digital transformation program for a public sector life insurance organisation in India. The engagement is part of a broader initiative focused on building an enterprise data lake and enabling advanced reporting and analytics use cases across the organisation.
The consultant will play a key role in reimagining and redesigning customer journeys and driving technology implementation across the BFSI landscape. Working closely with business teams, IT stakeholders, and system integrators, the consultant will help define the future-state architecture and operating model for customer-centric digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reimagine and design end-to-end customer journeys across key BFSI processes (e.g., onboarding, servicing, claims, policy management), ensuring seamless digital experiences and operational efficiency
- Assess current customer journey touchpoints and underlying technology architecture, identifying pain points and defining future-state (to-be) journeys and supporting systems
- Develop detailed design documentation for the future-state customer journey framework, ensuring technical feasibility and alignment with enterprise digital architecture initiatives
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, operations teams, IT departments, and relevant functional groups to define and obtain sign-off on redesigned journeys and technology-enabled solutions
- Work closely with system integrator teams, including business analysts and solution architects, to walk through design specifications, clarify requirements, and validate implementation understanding
- Support stakeholder alignment and project governance through formal presentations, workshops, and structured discussions with senior stakeholders
Your Background:
- Strong experience in the BFSI sector (banking, financial services, or insurance), with a focus on customer experience, journey mapping, and digital transformation
- Proven experience in technology implementation projects, including working with system integrators and IT teams to deliver large-scale digital solutions
- Prior exposure to life insurance or public sector BFSI environments is preferred
- Experience working on large-scale transformation or digital programs involving customer-facing platforms, analytics, or enterprise systems
- Ability to manage senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including business, IT, and external implementation partners
- Strong problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills, with experience presenting in formal project governance forums
Other Details:
- This is a full-time consulting engagement based in Mumbai, with the consultant expected to work primarily on-site with the client team. The contract is of an initial duration of 9 months, with the possibility of extension depending on project requirements.
