
Our client, a global consulting firm, is currently supporting a leading PSU player in the chemicals and fertilizers sector, currently undertaking a large-scale business expansion into new chemical segments. As part of this live strategic initiative, the organization is seeking a Consultant to support critical PMO, market research, and business build activities across ongoing expansion workstreams.
- The consultant will play a key role in enabling the client's growth journey by supporting market assessments, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and helping drive execution rigor across the project.
- This opportunity offers strong exposure to large-scale industrial expansion projects within the specialty chemicals space, working closely with senior stakeholders and external partners to help shape and operationalize new business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct research and analysis on chemical markets, including market dynamics, feedstock supply chains, and regulatory developments relevant to targeted chemical segments.
- Support PMO activities by driving project tracking, monitoring workstreams, and ensuring timely follow-through on key initiatives.
- Prepare Excel-based operational trackers, reporting dashboards, and data consolidation models to support project reviews and decision-making.
- Assist in business case development for new chemical expansion opportunities and support internal evaluation processes.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, technology partners, and external ecosystem participants to support project execution and implementation readiness.
- Support leadership reviews through structured problem-solving, communication, and preparation of presentations and project updates.
Your Background:
- 2-5 years of experience in the chemicals, fertilizers, or specialty chemicals sector.
- Prior exposure to large-scale industrial projects, PMO support, business expansion initiatives, or strategy/operations roles preferred.
- Strong understanding of chemical industry value chains, feedstock dynamics, and market research methodologies.
- Proficiency in Excel-based analysis, reporting, and data management.
Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
- Educational background in Chemical Engineering preferred.
- Candidates with experience in specialty chemicals environments will be highly preferred.
Other Info :
This is a full-time, 12-month contractual engagement, and the consultant will be required to work primarily from the client location in Vadodara, with onsite presence expected from Monday to Thursday/Friday. The engagement is part of a live project with potential for extension based on project requirements and performance.
