Construction/Project Head - Construction/Consulting/Real Estate

Position Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned and highly respected Chief Technical Officer (CTO) to provide strategic guidance, technical oversight, and high-level direction across our construction and development portfolio. This role is aimed at leveraging deep industry expertise to improve project quality, mitigate risks, and ensure alignment with global best practices.

The ideal candidate will bring at least 25 years of technical leadership experience in the construction/consulting/project management space and will act as a mentor to internal teams, a sounding board for leadership, and a custodian of engineering space excellence, innovation in materials & construction process, SOPs, audits of all designs, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Advisory:

- Advise the leadership team on construction methodologies, structural systems, material choices, and cost-effective practices.

- Participate in strategic reviews of project designs, construction plans, and value engineering proposals.

- Provide critical insights on project feasibility, buildability, and long-term performance of assets.

Quality & Technical Assurance:

- Review and endorse technical standards, specifications, and SOPs across the organization.

- Evaluate complex technical issues escalated from projects and recommend solutions.

- Guide the organization on quality assurance frameworks and site audit protocols.

- Lead the design / engineering audits in pre-construction phase.

Innovation & Risk Mitigation:

- Advise on the adoption of modern construction technologies (e.g., precast, modular, BIM, sustainability frameworks).

- Identify technical risks in design and execution and recommend mitigation measures.

- Conduct technical audits across the projects

Safety:

- Ensure implementation and periodic review of safety SOPs, while leading regular safety audits to maintain compliance and mitigate risks across operations

Technical Due Diligence:

- Lead technical due diligence for operating assets, including detailed structural audits and evaluation of all properties to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance

Mentorship & Team Development:

- Serve as a mentor to the technical and project management teams, providing guidance on problem solving and technical judgment.

- Help develop in-house technical capabilities through training, knowledge sharing, and structured learning sessions.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's or master's degree in civil.

- 25+ years of senior-level experience in construction/consulting/project management space.

- Proven track record of leading or consulting on large-scale, complex projects (e.g., high-rises, commercial developments, infrastructure).
