Job Title: Construction Lead (Deputy to COO)

Reporting To: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Location: Noida

Department: Projects / Construction

Role Summary:

The Construction Lead will act as the second-in-command to the COO, overseeing end-to-end construction operations across 3 Ultra Luxury Mixed land usage projects. This role is responsible for ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, cost control, and adherence to safety standards, while driving operational excellence and supporting strategic decision-making alongside the COO.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership & Execution

- Assist the COO in defining construction strategies, policies, and execution roadmaps.

- Translate business objectives into project delivery targets across sites.

- Ensure alignment of construction activities with organizational goals and long-term vision.

2. Project Management

- Oversee planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of construction projects.

- Ensure projects are delivered within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

- Review project schedules, monitor progress, and resolve escalations.

3. Operations & Process Excellence

- Implement best practices in project planning, material management, and cost control.

- Drive digitalization/automation in construction tracking, reporting, and site management.

- Ensure adherence to statutory, contractual, and environmental compliance requirements.

4. Team Leadership & Development

- Lead, mentor, and manage project directors, site heads, and engineering teams.

- Build capability through training, succession planning, and performance management.

5. Stakeholder Management

- Act as the key liaison with consultants, architects, contractors, vendors, and clients.

- Support the COO in vendor negotiations, contracts finalization, and dispute resolution.

- Represent construction updates in management reviews and board meetings.

6. Risk, Quality & Safety

- Monitor and mitigate project risks, including delays, cost escalations, and compliance issues.

- Ensure strict adherence to quality standards across all projects.

- Champion EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) protocols across sites.

Key Deliverables (KPI/KRA):

- On-time delivery of all projects within budget.

- Quality compliance and zero major non-conformities.

- Cost savings through value engineering and vendor negotiations.

- Reduction in construction delays/escalations.

- High employee engagement and retention in the project team.

Qualifications & Experience:

- B.Tech / B.E. (Civil/Construction/Structural Engineering); Masters preferred must have done end to end execution of Ultra Luxury projects preferably in NCR .

- 18-20 years of experience in large-scale construction projects (real estate, infrastructure, or EPC).

- Proven track record in leading multi-site, large-scale projects.

- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
