Job Description:
We are looking for a Consolidation Specialist to join the Finance & Accounting team of a leading electronics manufacturing organization. This is an Individual Contributor / Process Owner role responsible for supporting global financial consolidation, financial close, and reporting activities. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial consolidation principles, along with experience in financial reporting, SEC filings, and consolidation systems.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Financial Consolidation & Close:
- Own and manage assigned processes within global financial consolidation and financial close.
- Support preparation and review of consolidated financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Perform consolidation activities, including intercompany eliminations, consolidation adjustments, and account analysis.
- Work closely with business units to understand transactions impacting consolidation, including acquisitions, restructuring, and other complex business transactions.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation activities.
- Review financial information submitted by business units and identify discrepancies or unusual items.
- Support continuous improvement and standardization of consolidation and close processes.
Financial Reporting:
- Support preparation of consolidated financial statements and disclosures for SEC filings, including 10-K and 10-Q.
- Prepare financial reporting schedules, analyses, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure financial reporting activities comply with U.S. GAAP and applicable SEC requirements.
- Coordinate with global finance and accounting teams to obtain accurate and timely reporting information.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in identifying and resolving reporting and consolidation issues.
Process Ownership:
- Act as a process owner for assigned consolidation and reporting activities.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, controls, and standard operating procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and accuracy within the consolidation process.
- Collaborate with cross-functional and global stakeholders to resolve complex accounting and reporting matters.
Preferred Candidate Profile:
- CA / CMA (ICWA) qualified or pursuing, with relevant experience in financial consolidation and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial consolidation principles.
- Experience in global financial consolidation, financial close, and reporting.
- Prior exposure to SEC reporting, particularly 10-K and 10-Q filings, will be preferred.
- Experience with consolidation systems such as Oracle, OneStream, MSTR, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of intercompany accounting, eliminations, consolidation adjustments, and financial statement preparation.
- Experience working with global / multinational finance teams is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to independently manage responsibilities as an Individual Contributor / Process Owner.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
