Role Summary ConcertAI is looking for Senior Data Scientist with a passion for artificial intelligence and machine learning to help drive a new generation of Al and machine learning enabled services and products to impact clinical research. You will enjoy working with a highly talented and diverse team of Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists specializing in deep and machine learning, mathematics and statistics, and will have the opportunity to work with one of the richest data sets available to assist with clinical research. You should have a diverse range of skills focusing on statistics/maths, coding, machine learning and Al skills and some background in biology or medicine. You will be responsible for data exploration, analysis, development of machine learning methods and new approaches for clinical development applications in the oncology domain that powers the company's data operations, production analytics (AI/ML/DS) and products. You will collaborate with clinical data scientists, product and software engineers on prototypes and its productization. This role reports to the Vice President, Data Science. Responsibilities - Work with product, engineering, and internal data science teams to develop novel approaches and Al solutions to improve and accelerate clinical trial execution and execution utilizing ConcertAl's RWD and technologies. - Engage closely with the product engineers to understand the problem, develop specifications, perform a feasibility study, and build end-to-end solutions for clinical trial-specific questions using ConcertAl's RWD. - Work closely with the engineering team to provide Al solution ready for integration into enterprise-grade software solutions. - Uphold high engineering standards, bringing consistency to the codebases you encounter and ensuring software is adequately reviewed, tested, and integrated. - Design and develop production-ready APls and algorithms at scale. Requirements - MS or PhD in a STEM field, with formal training in CS, stats, bioengineering, data science, engineering, physics or math - 2+ years' experience in life sciences and working with healthcare data (Electronic Health records, claims data) - 2+ years of applied expertise in advanced data science and computational concepts and techniques, machine learning, statistical analysis, and stochastic optimization. - Strong programming skills in one high-level language (Python, R) - Hands-on experience with NLP. - Hands-on experience with big data - Cloud data warehouses, cluster computing, Spark - Software development experience is a plus. - Proficiency with microservices development, containerization, orchestration and deployment in a Linux environment is an added advantage - Strong communication, project management, and technical leadership skills with an enthusiasm for working in an interdisciplinary environment - Comfortable working in a fast-paced and changing high-growth environment
