The Compliance Officer will be responsible for ensuring end-to-end regulatory compliance with RBI regulations, statutory requirements, and internal policies applicable to NBFCs. The role will support the organization in maintaining a strong compliance culture, managing regulatory interactions, and mitigating compliance risks across products and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with RBI Master Directions, circulars, guidelines, and notifications applicable to NBFCs.

- Monitor regulatory developments and assess impact on business, processes, and policies.

- Implement and update compliance frameworks, policies, SOPs, and manuals.

Compliance Monitoring & Testing:

- Conduct periodic compliance reviews, audits, and thematic checks across functions.

- Track compliance exceptions, root causes, and closure of corrective actions.

- Maintain compliance dashboards and MIS for senior management and Board committees.

Regulatory Reporting & Liaison:

- Oversee timely and accurate submission of regulatory returns (RBI, FIU-IND, etc.).

- Act as a key point of contact for RBI inspections, audits, and regulatory queries.

- Coordinate responses to inspection observations and ensure timely closure.

AML / KYC Oversight:

- Support implementation of AML, CFT, and KYC frameworks as per RBI and PMLA requirements.

- Review high-risk accounts, suspicious transaction reports (STRs), and regulatory escalations in coordination with MLRO.

Governance & Advisory:

- Provide compliance advisory to business, operations, product, and credit teams.

- Support Board and Committee meetings (Audit, Risk, Compliance) with compliance updates and reports.

- Promote compliance awareness and training programs across the organization.

Policy & Documentation:

- Draft, review, and update compliance policies including Fair Practices Code, Code of -Conduct, Whistle Blower Policy, etc.

- Ensure proper documentation, record retention, and audit trails.
