Role Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance Officer to lead our regulatory framework in Mumbai. In this strategic role, you will serve as the primary custodian of our compliance culture, ensuring that our operations remain strictly aligned with evolving SEBI regulations and industry standards. You will work closely with senior leadership, investment teams, and external regulators to navigate complex legal landscapes, effectively mitigating risk while enabling business growth. Your oversight will be instrumental in safeguarding the firm's reputation and ensuring seamless operations for our Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) portfolios, ultimately providing our investors with the highest level of institutional trust and transparency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the end-to-end regulatory compliance framework for AIFs to ensure full adherence to SEBI guidelines and other statutory requirements.

- Manage direct relationships with regulatory bodies and external auditors to facilitate smooth inspections and timely filing of mandatory disclosures.

- Advise the investment and operations teams on the compliance implications of new fund structures and investment strategies to ensure proactive risk mitigation.

- Develop and implement robust internal policies and monitoring mechanisms to detect and prevent potential regulatory breaches.

- Lead the internal audit process and coordinate with legal counsel to resolve complex compliance queries, protecting the firm from legal and financial exposure.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in navigating the regulatory environment for Alternative Investment Funds, with a deep understanding of SEBI regulations and compliance reporting.

- Proven ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements to senior stakeholders and board members with clarity and authority.

- Strong analytical mindset to interpret legal updates and translate them into actionable operational policies.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster a culture of compliance across diverse internal teams and external partners.

- Professional qualification such as CS, CA, or an MBA from a premier institute, complemented by 13 - 20 years of experience in the financial services sector.

- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, on-site work environment in Mumbai, maintaining high standards of accuracy and professional integrity.
