Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Architecture: Design and monitor a robust compliance framework for the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) Act, Special Economic Zone (SEZ) rules, and relevant SEBI regulations.
- Operational Oversight: Ensure all company policies, procedures, and record-keeping meet the high standards of the organisation's global operations and Indian regulatory requirements.
- Strategic Reporting: Provide executive management and the Board with detailed intelligence on the company's compliance health and the effectiveness of internal controls.
- Cross-Border Expertise: Manage compliance related to RBI and FEMA rules as they apply to international financial services within GIFT City.
- Regulator Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for the SEZ Authority and IFSCA, drafting and submitting all necessary regulatory responses and reports.
- Fiscal Compliance: Maintain a thorough understanding of Indian tax laws, including GST, withholding tax, and Indian Income Tax, as they relate to brokerage operations.
Experience & Skills:
- Financial Pedigree: At least 5 years of experience in a compliance or operational role within a financial services entity.
- Regulatory Fluency: Proven understanding of the GIFT City ecosystem, including IFSCA, SEBI, and FEMA frameworks.
- Leadership Mindset: Experience working with senior management to develop and review enterprise-wide policies.
- Education: CA / Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
