Role Objective:
- To ensure the Bank's operations within the IFSC framework comply with all regulatory and statutory requirements laid down by IFSCA and other relevant authorities, while supporting the Head of Compliance in maintaining a strong compliance culture and governance framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing and monitoring the compliance framework for the GIFT City branch in line with IFSCA, FEMA, RBI, SEBI, and other regulatory guidelines.
- Review and ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements for all banking activities.
- Support in preparing and submitting regulatory reports, returns, and responses to regulatory observations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct regular compliance reviews, risk assessments, and monitoring activities to identify potential gaps or violations.
- Track and disseminate new circulars, regulatory updates, and guidelines to relevant departments, ensuring proper understanding and implementation.
- Support in developing and conducting compliance training sessions for employees.
- Assist in formulating and updating compliance manuals, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain effective coordination with internal departments, auditors, and regulators.
- Support the Head of Compliance in managing AML/CFT controls and ensuring adherence to anti-money laundering and KYC standards.
- Prepare periodic compliance reports for management and Head Office.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Law, Finance, or related discipline.
- 15 years+ of experience in Compliance, Audit, Risk, or Legal functions in a bank or financial institution; prior exposure to IFSC/GIFT City operations preferred.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, particularly IFSCA, FEMA, and AML guidelines.
- Good communication, analytical, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently with attention to detail and a proactive approach.
