Role Overview:

As the RBS Compliance Functional Head, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all compliance activities related to RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) within the organization, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including business units, risk management, and legal, to provide guidance and support on compliance matters. Your role is crucial in safeguarding the organization's reputation, minimizing compliance risks, and fostering a culture of compliance throughout the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive RBS compliance program that aligns with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

- Provide expert advice and guidance to business units on RBS compliance matters, ensuring that they understand and adhere to relevant regulations and policies.

- Conduct regular compliance risk assessments to identify potential areas of vulnerability and develop mitigation strategies.

- Oversee the development and delivery of compliance training programs to employees, promoting awareness and understanding of RBS compliance requirements.

- Monitor and track regulatory changes related to RBS compliance, ensuring that the organization adapts its policies and procedures accordingly.

- Manage the preparation and submission of regulatory reports related to RBS compliance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

- Investigate and resolve compliance breaches, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities and industry peers, staying abreast of emerging trends and best practices in RBS compliance.

- Lead and mentor a team of compliance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement comprehensive compliance programs, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.

- Proven expertise in risk management and internal control frameworks, with a strong understanding of RBS compliance requirements.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex compliance issues.

- Ability to lead and motivate a team of compliance professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.

- Minimum of 15-25 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or internal control, with a focus on RBS compliance.

- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Certified Compliance Professional) are preferred.

- Willingness to be based in Kolkata and work in an on-site environment.
