Our client, a leading global consulting firm is supporting a large Indian NBFC on a major transformation of its Commercial Vehicles (CV) finance business. As part of this initiative, the client is redesigning its credit strategy, loan processes, and product approach to unlock growth while strengthening portfolio quality.

To enable this transformation, the firm is seeking a seasoned senior Commercial Vehicles Finance Expert to provide strategic guidance, bring deep domain insights, and act as an industry-credible voice in key leadership discussions. This expert will play a pivotal role in shaping the future business model for one of Indias largest NBFCs.

Key Responsibilities:

- Advise on business strategy for the CV finance portfolio, including disbursal mix, focus segments, ROA aspirations, and risk parameters.

- Provide guidance on loan processes and digital best practices to reduce turnaround time (TAT) and strengthen operational efficiency.

- Recommend enhancements to loan policies to drive market share growth while maintaining prudent credit standards.

- Participate in high-level client discussions as a senior industry expert and help validate the consulting teams recommendations.

- Offer on-demand inputs as the team progresses through design, validation, and implementation phases.

Your Background:

- 20+ years of experience in Commercial Vehicle finance in a leadership role.

- Former CXO / Head of Credit / Head of Product / Head of Sales within CV finance (in that order of preference).

- Experience at leading CV finance organizations:

- Priority 1: Chola, IndusInd Bank

- Priority 2: Shriram Transport, Sundaram Finance, AU Small Finance Bank

- Strong understanding of credit strategy, risk management, loan policy design, and frontline CV business operations.

- Demonstrated ability to engage with senior management and influence strategic decisions.

Other Information:

This is an on-demand engagement, with the expert required to provide support on an hourly or day-rate basis depending on project needs. The initial contract duration will be for 3 to 4 months. The role may involve occasional travel, which the client will arrange if required. The engagement is expected to begin immediately, with flexibility on location since most discussions can be conducted remotely.
