Commercial Architect - Salesforce + Integration

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Commercial Architect to design, develop, and implement robust and scalable digital solutions that enhance our business-to-business operations and client experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of B2B digital landscapes, enterprise architecture, and emerging technologies, with a proven track record of translating business requirements into effective technical strategies. Crucially, this includes significant expertise in Salesforce platforms, particularly Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud or custom solutions built on the Salesforce Platform, to drive our commercial effectiveness. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and drive digital transformation initiatives.Responsibilities:

- Strategic Planning & Roadmapping: Define and evolve the B2B digital architecture strategy, roadmap, and standards in alignment with overall business objectives and technology trends.

- Solution Design & Architecture: Lead the design and architecture of complex B2B digital platforms, applications, and integrations, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and maintainability. This includes customer portals, e-commerce platforms, CRM integrations, data analytics solutions, and other digital touchpoints. Specifically, design solutions that leverage Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud functionalities, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or custom applications built on the Salesforce Platform.

- Technology Evaluation & Selection: Research, evaluate, and recommend new technologies, frameworks, and tools that can enhance our B2B digital capabilities and provide a competitive advantage, including comprehensive evaluation of the Salesforce ecosystem and third-party solutions compatible with Salesforce.

- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles, best practices, and coding standards. Conduct architectural reviews and provide constructive feedback, especially for Salesforce-centric development and configuration.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, product managers, IT teams, and external partners to gather requirements, understand pain points, and translate them into technical specifications and architectural designs.

- System Integration: Design and oversee the integration of various B2B systems, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability across different platforms (e.g., SAP, CRM, marketing automation, supply chain systems). This includes extensive experience integrating Salesforce with other enterprise systems using MuleSoft, Salesforce APIs, or other integration patterns.

- Security & Compliance: Ensure that all B2B digital solutions comply with relevant security standards, data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), and industry best practices.

- Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, ensuring optimal speed and responsiveness of B2B digital platforms.

- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including solution designs, technical specifications, data models, and integration maps.

- Innovation & Best Practices: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and digital innovations to continuously improve our B2B digital offerings.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in enterprise architecture, with a significant focus on B2B digital solutions.

- Demonstrated hands-on experience in the design, development, and deployment of B2B systems.

- Extensive experience with various architectural patterns (e.g., microservices, event-driven architecture, API-first design).

- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their application in B2B digital ecosystems.

- Proficiency in designing and implementing complex integrations using APIs, ESBs, and other integration technologies.

- Experience with BPM system with various modules

- Knowledge of SAP/SAP4H supply chain and finance and SAP integration will be a big plus

- Familiarity with modern web technologies, front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js), and back-end languages (e.g., Python, Java, Node.js).

- Deep and proven experience architecting solutions on the Salesforce Platform, including:

A. Direct experience with Salesforce Consumer Goods Cloud (CGC) for B2B commercial processes (trade promotion management, retail execution, direct store delivery) is highly preferred.

B. Alternatively, extensive experience building and extending complex solutions using core Salesforce platform capabilities (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud), including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, and comprehensive integration patterns.

C. Understanding of Salesforce data models, security models, and governance limits.

- Experience with CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP) integrations.

- Knowledge of data warehousing, business intelligence, and analytics tools.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically about complex technical challenges.

Skills:

- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong commitment to continuous learning.

- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
