Collection Manager - Banking/Financial Services

About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Collection Manager to lead and manage collection operations, drive recovery performance, and ensure effective team management. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in collections/recovery within fintech, NBFC, lending, or financial services.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and drive collection and recovery operations across assigned portfolios.

- Lead, manage, and monitor collection teams to achieve business targets.

- Track collection performance, productivity, and portfolio metrics.

- Develop and implement strategies to improve collection efficiency and recovery rates.

- Monitor delinquency, bucket-wise performance, and ageing portfolios.

- Identify performance gaps and take corrective actions.

- Coordinate with internal teams such as Operations, Risk, Credit, and Customer Support.

- Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory requirements, and collection processes.

- Prepare and share regular performance reports and MIS with leadership.

- Handle escalations and support the team in resolving complex collection cases.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in Collections, Recovery, or Collection Operations.

- Prior experience in Fintech, NBFC, Digital Lending, Banking, or Financial Services is preferred.

- Strong experience in team handling and collection target management.

- Good understanding of collection processes, delinquency, and recovery strategies.

- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work in a target-driven environment.

- Candidates with experience in telecalling, digital, field, or blended collections can be considered.
