Research Associate Valuation Support (2-5 years)
The selected candidate will work as a Research Associate supporting the valuation and research teams of a leading global financial institution. The role is suited for professionals with a strong foundation in valuation, financial statement analysis, and research support, and offers the opportunity to work on complex analytical workflows supporting global research teams.
Primary Role Responsibilities:
- Build, maintain, and update valuation models, supporting worksheets, and linked databases.
- Perform valuation support activities, including sensitivity analysis and scenario-based assessments.
- Prepare analytical summaries and reports based on valuation outputs and financial data.
- Support sector-level and macroeconomic research initiatives, analytical projects, and data-driven studies.
- Develop and update charts, exhibits, presentations, and other analytical materials for research teams.
- Validate and perform quality checks on financial, market, and other factual data used in analytical workflows.
- Update presentation materials and marketing collateral using publicly available information and verified data sources.
- Manage data inputs, model updates, and exhibit maintenance for recurring research publications and periodic reporting deliverables.
- Undertake ad hoc research, data analysis, presentation development, and project support activities as required.
- Review and validate team deliverables to ensure high standards of accuracy, quality, and consistency prior to submission.
- Support process improvement, knowledge management, and best-practice initiatives to enhance efficiency and delivery quality across the team.
Required Qualifications:
- MBA (Finance), CA, CFA (US), or equivalent finance-focused postgraduate qualification preferred.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in Company Valuation, Investment Research, Financial Analytics, or Financial Research Support.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation concepts, cash flow analysis, return on invested capital (ROIC), economic profit frameworks, and comparable company analysis.
- Excellent financial modeling and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail, research writing skills, and ability to work accurately under tight timelines.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Familiarity with financial databases such as Bloomberg, FactSet, Capital IQ, Refinitiv, or similar platforms would be an advantage.
- Experience in reviewing analyst output, quality control, training, or mentoring junior team members would be preferred.
- Flexible approach to workload and business requirements.
